This policy explains what personal information Hearthen collects through wearehearthen.com, why, and what rights you have. Hearthen is a trading name of Kevin Toll, sole trader. Kevin Toll is the controller of your information. You can reach us at hello@wearehearthen.com.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. We don't ask for anything else, and we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this site.
Like any website host, our host receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type, so it can deliver the page and keep the service secure.
How we use it
We use your email address only to tell you about Hearthen's launch, including the early-bird price and the chance to have a say in scent N°2. We won't sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent, which you give by entering your email and choosing "Join the waitlist". You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.
Who processes it for us
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and stores waitlist sign-ups when you submit the form.
- MailerLite sends our launch emails, each with an unsubscribe link. Before launch, we'll copy waitlist email addresses from Netlify into MailerLite so we can send them.
Netlify is based in the United States and receives UK personal data under the UK Extension to the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. MailerLite stores subscriber data in the European Union.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and in any case no longer than 12 months after launch unless you choose to stay on our mailing list.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@wearehearthen.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you by email if the change is significant.
